Summer!

Summer is here and with it came the hot temps of Southern Utah. Since bouldering has reached the point of sweaty finger frustration here, we have been making our transition to sport climbing. It's always an adjustment for us since we tend to stick with bouldering throughout the winter, but this year it has been going really well and we are psyched!!
Crawdad Canyon is a fun Spring crag with lots of nice short climbs to help us mentally get in the game!

 We love Parker!

 Dirt is so fun! :)

Of course we're going to throw in a few bouldering sessions at Bunker Creek!

Casey and Seth have been tearing it up at the Principality!

We joined Louise at Soul Asylum for a fun session!

No pictures of me on our camera but believe it or not I have been tying myself in for some climbs. I did my 12b project in one hang and I can't wait to try it again!

Casey and I made ourselves some checklists to stay on track for our sport climbing goals! :)

Crawdad Canyon

Because the temps in St. George are getting really hot, Casey and I decided to try climbing in Crawdad Canyon.  We went a few Saturdays ago for the first time, and actually really liked it! It's a pretty canyon with a lot of climbs and easy access. The cost ($8 each per day) seems high, but the temps were good, the environment was pretty, and the rock is good. Maybe next time we'll take our swimsuits for a soak in the pool and a burger!
Casey's birthday present, a beautiful new rope!

Sorry no pictures of climbing again... we've been bouldering in Paragonah a few times and snapped a few there. An update of that will be coming soon!
