More Ibex

Ibex!

Last week was Spring Break for both Casey and I, so naturally we took the opportunity to spend some quality time rock climbing. In keeping with tradition, we made our way out to Ibex! Tommy, Bridget and Daniel joined us for the fun on Thursday night. We got lots of great videos, which we are in the process of putting together, and took tons of pictures. The rock is amazing! Cool features, beautiful colors, etc. We love it. Here are just a few of my favorite photographs. Enjoy!

Me on a V2. Can't remember the name.

Making our way out to Lobstopping Gobstoppers.

Looks just like the Grizzly River Run rock at California Adventureland!
And this folks, is why we have crash pads. (Also notice what an awesome spotter my husband is. I always feel completely safe with him below me!)

The trip was a blast! We were left with plenty of projects to keep us itching to go back in the next couple of months before it gets too hot. Hopefully a video will be posted in the near future with some of the great sends of the trip!

The Hurricane Hills

Living in Southern Utah Definately has its advantages. We enjoy nice weather, beautiful scenery, and climbing...everywhere! Lately we've been enojoying some chilled sessions at this limestone area just south of Hurricane. Sometimes the rock breaks and you fall on your head, but that's just part of the fun! Here's some pics and video of our fun day with Greg.

Done and done!

Lately I've been getting some really good workouts at the Virgin Cave.
I've been working on my front levers,
(pretty good right? :) )
jumping rope with the many roots lying about,
and taking pictures of Casey actually getting a real workout!

And then last week, HE SENT!!!! It was pretty exciting! I was so glad I got to be there! Way to go Casey! Here's a video we put together with the footage!

Easy Peasy

Saturday Casey and I had a great day at Moe's. After too many weekends filled with field trips, rain, sickness, etc. it felt great to get back out.
Ali and Greg were working on Huntsman Graffiti while we were warming up, so I hopped on for a few tries and was pleasantly surprised by how fun the movement was! Even in the baking hot sun. Greg made quick work of it and sent in a couple tries. "Easy peasy lemon squeezy!" :)
The main item on my agenda was Device Ignitor Left. I am in love. Something about this boulder just gets me. I made a lot more progress than I expected and did all of the moves except the last one. So excited to get back on it and link it all together!!
Brent started working on a new line put up by Isaac. It's a boulder climb. (I was trying to come up with a really good description of it...and that was Casey's contribution. profound. I guess we'll let the pictures speak for themselves.)
Casey decided to try Booka Booka and The Thing since it was his "easy" day. Maybe I should start trying harder things and saying it's my easy day because he sent The Thing on his 3rd go!
(I know this looks suspicious, but don't worry, Ander was at least a foot or two away. "Easy peasy squeezy squeezy!" haha)
