July in L.C.C.

Casey and I went to Northern Utah to visit our family and to celebrate our 1st anniversary! Of course while we were there we spent some time bouldering, despite the warm July temps.
The first area we went to with Tommy was White Pine. It has a kind of tricky approach because you have to cross the river on a log and then hike through talus slopes. But the awesome thing was that there were actually real warm ups! Not just tricky Little Cottonwood style problems. As you can see in the V0 below, it was actually a true blue V0! Hooray! The only problem was that it was so warm and slippery that everything still seemed kind of hard...except the V0.

Casey and Tommy hopped on Matts Roof and Euro. Unfortunately it was still warm so they climbed terribly. haha just kidding! But it was harder. And they didn't send. So.... :)

Later in the week we went back to Little Cottonwood to celebrate Kara's 17th birthday! Once again it was just a little too warm. We had a great KFC picnic dinner, which added even more greasiness to our fingertips, and had a great time!

Parker had his first bouldering session! He is just so cute that I have to take pictures, and then I have to post them all. We also got some videos that we will put on here soon. I think he especially loved putting chalk on his hands and the half pad was the perfect size!
